Please support restaurants that support local farms!
Ask what on the menu is local and
let them know you appreciate their
efforts!

When
we eat locally we get the freshest, most delicious and healthiest
food possible. We also contribute to our local economy, keep
farmers on the land, and protect our environment by reducing the
distance our food travels.
When our food is local and sustainably grown we:
~ reduce toxic pesticide use,
~ protect our waters and soils,
~ preserve habitats,
~ have access to foods that are part of our regional heritage,
~ assure a healthy "food system" that can continue to
provide food
for future generations!
Let's
all work to shorten the distance from farm to table!
"Local Night Out" is a great way to start.
