Cultivating Connections with Communities to Build a Resilient Local Food System
We have some exciting news for our organization—our mission statement got a makeover!
While this is a commitment that we have been embodying through our work already, this mission statement exudes the revitalized energy we feel within REAP Food Group right now. Our old mission statement served us well, and yet it undersold the on-the-ground work we were doing every day. This new mission statement highlights our role as connectors in this system, strengthening the bonds between farmers, schools, businesses, and families so that every person has knowledge and access to fresh, local food. We are—and we have been—laser focused on relationship building and systems change.
Our work isn’t changing. We’re still coordinating fresh snacks for students, creating infrastructure for wholesale buying and selling, providing food boxes to families in need, and developing policy recommendations – but now we’ll be doing it with the perfect tool in our toolbox to share it, within our community and beyond!
In lucky timing with our new mission statement, we’re also beyond thrilled to be launching this new REAP website – one that can grow with us, engage our community better, and help us take this new mission even further.
Engage with REAP! Tell us a little about who you are, and we'll send you in the right place.
